By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

a) Information You Provide Directly:

  • Creator Account Information: When a Creator registers for an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials (such as from a social login provider like Google, or a password).

  • Communications: When you contact us for support or other inquiries, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your communications.

b) Information Collected Automatically During Your Use of the Service:

  • Entrant Information: When an end-user ("Entrant") participates in an Uproll, we collect their mobile phone number and a transaction ID from the mobile money provider to validate their entry.
  • Log and Usage Data: We automatically log information about your interactions with our Service, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and the dates and times of your visits.
  • Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies and similar technologies to operate and improve our Service. For more details, please see the Cookie Policy in our Terms of Service.

4. How and Why We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only in the following limited circumstances:

  • With Creators: When an Entrant wins, their partially redacted phone number (e.g., 077...123) is shared with the Creator for prize fulfillment and public announcement. We also provide Creators with analytics on their dashboard, which may include partially redacted phone numbers of their "Top Supporters" to help them understand and engage with their community.
  • Service Providers: We share information with third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as cloud hosting (Convex & Vercel), payment processing, and analytics. They are contractually bound to protect your data and only use it for the services we request.
  • Business Transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing due diligence, reorganization, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be sold or transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such deal and outline your choices.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect our rights, or prevent fraud.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as you have an active account with us or as long as is necessary to provide the Service. We may also retain data to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

6. Your Data Rights and Choices

Subject to local law, you have the right to: Access the personal data we hold about you, Rectify any inaccurate information, Erase your personal data, Restrict or Object to our processing of your data, and Data Portability (request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format).

Creators can manage some of their information through their account dashboard. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at legal@uproll.co.
